Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Illegal?

This is not illegal - If you get stopped by police: The police are just doing their job and will reciprocate your attitude, so be polite and civil. Express how you are doing this to show support against the genocide taking place in Palestine, and that you are making sure your flags are not covering anything. The police cannot confiscate any of your items. Support/Patrol Officers may also stop you. They can’t do anything. Just politely express what you are doing and then keep it moving. You don’t need to give them your personal details.

Should I keep anonymous?

Remain anonymous. When taking and sharing videos don’t expose who you are, and whilst doing it keep it discreet.

Is one team enough?

Ideally, if you want to create a big impact and get as much attention onto the project, it is advised you create 10 teams to cover 10 locations in your borough. This way it will be noticed immediately and catch media attention, which is important to spread the message as far and wide as possible. If you do create multiple teams, still do it at the same day and time.

Do I need to follow this strictly?

This is the method by which we found success in the Tower Hamlets borough. Feel free to change where you feel necessary. Remain safe and civil at all times.
